Laser Fillings - removing cavities the easy way
In today's dental patients, most cavities are small, thanks to better tooth care and earlier diagnosis of decay. Instead of using a drill to remove these cavities, we use a dental laser whenever possible. Unlike a drill, the laser selectively removes decay, leaving more of your healthy tooth structure and allowing for smaller, less noticeable fillings. Best of all, the laser is quiet and vibration-free, and most fillings can be accomplished with little or no anesthetic, making your treatment more pleasant as well as avoiding the "numb lip syndrome" after the appointment is over. Some teeth are too sensitive for laser treatment without numbing; in those cases, even though numbing injections may be required, the laser is still used to remove the cavity gently and quietly as compared to the shrill whine and vibration of a dental drill.
Dr. Haddix has been a pioneer in the use and development of these lasers, and we have the experience and expertise to make this exciting technology work for you. Call us at 434.973.4649 for a free consultation; your New Dental Experience is just a phone call away.
